Behind the Scenes: Live Broadcast for BBC Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg

Today, solo16 provided a live broadcast contribution for the BBC’s Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg, featuring Liberal Democrat MP and deputy party leader Daisy Cooper.

Our role was to deliver a reliable, broadcast-quality live feed into the BBC programme, overcoming challenging connectivity conditions at a remote Somerset location.

Unfortunately, the available 4G mobile signal wasn’t strong enough to support a dependable live broadcast.

To overcome this, we deployed our Starlink satellite dish which provided the main connectivity needed to deliver the live contribution.

Combining professional broadcast technology with satellite connectivity allows us to operate from locations where conventional mobile networks may struggle.

The live contribution featured Daisy Cooper MP, who appeared on the BBC’s flagship Sunday morning political programme, presented by Laura Kuenssberg.
